What Is Data Enrichment?
Data enrichment is the process of filling in missing or incomplete information about your contacts and companies. Instead of manually researching each person on LinkedIn or company websites, enrichment does it automatically.
What gets enriched
Section titled “What gets enriched”When you add a contact or company to your CRM with just a name and email, enrichment can fill in:
- Job title and role
- Company name and industry
- Company size and location
- Phone number
- LinkedIn profile URL
- Company website and description
This turns a bare-bones record into a complete profile that your sales team can actually work with.
Why it matters
Section titled “Why it matters”Incomplete data leads to poor decisions:
- Sales reps waste time researching instead of selling
- You cannot segment your contacts by industry or company size if those fields are empty
- Lead scoring is unreliable when half the data is missing
- Personalized outreach is impossible without knowing someone’s role or company
Studies show that sales reps spend up to 20% of their time on data entry and research. Enrichment gives that time back.
