How to Use Calendar View
Section titled “How to Use Calendar View”The Calendar view displays your records on a calendar based on their date fields. It is ideal for activities, tasks, follow-ups, and any entity with scheduled dates.
Switching to Calendar View
Section titled “Switching to Calendar View”- Navigate to an entity list that has date fields (e.g., Activities, Tasks)
- Click the View switcher in the toolbar
- Select Calendar
Records appear as blocks on the calendar based on their date or date-time fields.
Navigating the Calendar
Section titled “Navigating the Calendar”- Month / Week / Day — Use the toggle to switch between views
- Today — Click the Today button to jump back to the current date
- Navigate — Use the left and right arrows to move between periods
- Click a date — Click any empty date cell to create a new record on that day
Understanding What You See
Section titled “Understanding What You See”Each block on the calendar shows:
- Record name — The display field of the record
- Time — Start and end time (if the entity uses date-time fields)
- Color — Color-coded by type, status, or owner (depending on your settings)
Creating Records from the Calendar
Section titled “Creating Records from the Calendar”- Click on a date (or click and drag to select a time range)
- A quick-create form opens with the date pre-filled
- Enter the record details
- Click Save
The record appears on the calendar immediately.
Moving and Rescheduling
Section titled “Moving and Rescheduling”- Click and hold a record block
- Drag it to a new date or time
- Drop it — the date field is updated automatically
For multi-day events, drag the edge of the block to extend or shorten it.
Filtering the Calendar
Section titled “Filtering the Calendar”- Click Filter in the toolbar
- Add conditions (e.g., Owner = me, Type = Meeting)
- The calendar updates to show only matching records
This is useful when the calendar is crowded — filter by your name to see only your schedule.
Saving a Calendar View
Section titled “Saving a Calendar View”- Set your preferred time range and filters
- Click Save View
- Name it (e.g., “My meetings this week”)
